One of the most difficult skills in any sport is to hit a round ball with a round bat and hit it square. A batter has less than 1/2 a second to identify the location where the ball will cross the plate, accelerate a bat from zero to greater than 100 mph, and drive the bat through the center of the ball's contact point. While this is a very challenging objective following some basic fundamentals can greatly enhance a batters success.
